Pro Tint Care Tips

Maintain Your Tint Performance in San Antonio, TX

Your new window tint needs a little time before it’s ready for regular use. Follow these simple tips, and it’ll help your tint stay smooth, crisp, and ready to enjoy.

Let the Film Cure Before Rolling Windows Down

Give your tint time to cure before you roll the windows down. We’ll let you know the right wait time after installation, but a few days is usually the safe move. That curing window helps the film settle properly, so you’re not messing with the edges before they’re ready.

Don’t Panic Over Haze or Tiny Bubbles

Right after installation, your tint may look a little hazy or have small moisture pockets. That’s normal, and it doesn’t mean anything went wrong. As the film cures, that moisture will work its way out and the glass will start looking more polished.

Use Soft Towels and Tint-Safe Products

Once it’s safe to wipe the inside of your windows, keep it gentle. Use a soft microfiber towel and a tint-safe glass product that won’t mess with the film. That’ll help your windows stay clear without scratching, streaking, or wearing down the tint.

Be Careful Around the Edges

The edges of your tint need a little extra care, especially while the film is still settling in. Don’t pick at them, scrape them, or drag anything rough across the glass. Treat the film right early on, and it’ll be in a much better spot for long-term comfort, privacy, and style.
